Why we made this change
The comparison page is where you choose the plan that fits you from a wide range of options. If the display lagged every time you changed a condition, or stalled partway when your connection was unstable, it made the whole comparison harder to get through.
Many people using Bloomy eSIM are in the middle of preparing for a trip, searching for a plan while on the move or out and about. We prioritized making the page easy to use even in those situations where the connection isn't always stable, settling on a simple, clear display.
How this helps you
Because your filtering and sorting results are clearly reflected on screen, it's easier to see which conditions you're currently viewing. After comparing a few plans that catch your eye, being able to hit your browser's Back button and return smoothly to the previous list is a small but genuinely handy thing when you're comparing. And with a lighter page, you can choose a plan calmly even with limited time before departure.
Good to know: choosing an eSIM by destination, data, and duration
To get the most out of the comparison page, it helps to know what to base your choice on. eSIM plans are mainly narrowed down by three things: destination (the countries and regions covered), data allowance, and number of days.
Choosing by destination
First, check whether your destination is included in a plan's coverage. Beyond single-country plans, there are also plans that cover several countries together, so if you're doing a multi-country trip or have a layover stay, it's worth checking how many countries are covered. Choosing by data allowance
If you mostly use maps and messaging, a smaller allowance often goes a long way, while if you watch a lot of video or make video calls, it's reassuring to leave yourself some headroom. When it's hard to predict how much you'll use, lining up plans with different allowances and comparing the price per GB can make the decision easier.
Choosing by duration, and the difference between data plans and unlimited plans
Choose the number of days to match your stay. Bloomy offers both "data plans," which you use until a set allowance runs out, and "unlimited plans," which are used on a per-day basis. For long stays or when your usage is hard to predict, an unlimited plan can be an option — though even unlimited plans may come with conditions such as a fair-use policy or reduced speeds after a certain amount of use. Please check the latest conditions for each plan before purchase, including whether tethering is supported. Actual connection quality varies with the local network, your device, and the area you're in.
If you're running low on data abroad
Running through more data than you expected during a trip is a common thing. To deal with it, you can either use a "top-up" to add data to your current plan, or buy a separate plan from scratch. As a rough guide: for a short extension or a small amount of extra data, go with whatever is quickest; if you'll be using it for a while or want to add a lot of data, compare the price per GB and consider a new plan.
