In this update, we've added "Sign in with Google" as a login option. Along with that, we've pulled together some background on how we think about login, plus a few things worth knowing before you use your phone abroad.

- It's off by default. We deliberately erred on the safe side, so the feature won't run half-working when the setup isn't complete.

Login is the gateway to the eSIM you've purchased and to information tied to you personally. That's exactly why we felt it was safer not to enable it until the necessary settings are confirmed. Releasing a login feature with an incomplete setup could mean it works sometimes and fails other times—which tends to cause more worry, not less. At Bloomy, our default isn't "ship it if it runs" but "ship it once it's properly ready."

More ways to log in means fewer moments of getting stuck, such as:
