With this update, even on a wide desktop screen you can see at a glance how much data is left and how long your plan stays active — and reach the actions you need without hunting for them. We've redesigned the active eSIM card in My Account into a two-column desktop layout (left = status details such as remaining data and validity; right = messages and actions). Whether you're on a phone or a computer, the goal is to let you check the state of your active eSIM without any guesswork.
What's new in this update
We've rebuilt the "active eSIM card" shown in My Account into a layout that reads more clearly on desktop. The main changes are:
- The left column now gathers your status information, such as remaining data and validity period.
- The right column holds context-aware messages and the action buttons you might need.
- On wide desktop screens, information no longer scatters across the layout — it now follows a natural reading flow.
On smartphones, the card still stacks vertically as before, so on both desktop and mobile you can take in the state of your active eSIM at a glance.
Why we made this change
The previous card was originally designed around the tall, narrow screen of a phone. On a wide desktop display, that meant gaps opening up between the information and the action buttons, and related details sitting farther apart than they should. At times it wasn't obvious where to look for your remaining data, or which button to press next.
My Account is a place you come back to again and again after buying a plan — to check your remaining data and validity, or to read guidance for your current situation. Because it's a screen you live with throughout your trip, we wanted it to stay easy to read no matter the screen size, and that's what prompted this redesign.
How this helps you
In practical terms, things become clearer in moments like these:
- Doing a final check on your computer before you travel: it's easier to compare your remaining data and validity alongside setup guidance, all on one screen.
- Keeping an eye on your data usage while you're abroad: status details are grouped on the left, so a glance to the left tells you where you stand.
- Moving on to your next action: action buttons are organized on the right, so "reading" and "doing" are clearly separated and easier to navigate.
The details we cared about
Beyond simply rearranging the layout, we focused on a natural flow — understand your situation on the left, then take action on the right. We kept colors and buttons from being too loud, and used clean, generous spacing so that even first-time eSIM users can read the card without feeling overwhelmed. Rather than adding more information, we worked to organize the information that's already there and make it easier to see.
A quick guide: reading your data and validity, and what to do when you're running low
Now that the card is easier to read, here's a short guide to how to interpret what it shows — handy knowledge for using your eSIM with confidence.
"Remaining data" and "validity" are two different things
An eSIM generally has two kinds of limits. One is your remaining data (how many GB you have left), and the other is your validity period (how long the plan stays usable). On a capacity-based plan, you'll stop being able to connect once you use up your data even if days remain — and conversely, once the validity period passes, you can no longer use it even if data is left. My Account groups both in the left column, so before you leave and during your stay, it's reassuring to check the two together.
What to consider when you might run low on data
If you start to worry about data during your trip, your options broadly come down to "add data to the same eSIM (top-up)" or "buy a new plan." As a general rule, if you want to keep using the same device and avoid redoing your settings, adding data is the simpler route. If your remaining days or the way you're using data has changed a lot from your original plan, choosing a new plan that matches the capacity and number of days you now need can end up being clearer. Which suits you depends on your remaining days and usage, so we recommend deciding while looking at both your remaining data and days left. Note that the top-up feature is an area we're improving gradually, so please check My Account for current availability.
The basics of choosing an eSIM
To avoid running low in the first place, it helps to choose around three points at purchase: your destination, data capacity, and number of days. If you expect to use a lot of video or tethering, give yourself some headroom on capacity; for a short trip, match the number of days. To make these adjustments easy, the comparison page lets you search for plans by country, capacity, and duration. For longer stays where you'd rather not worry about capacity, an unlimited-type plan can also be an option. Even with an unlimited plan, however, a fair use policy or speed adjustments after a certain amount of usage may apply, and tethering availability and supported countries can differ from plan to plan. It's worth checking the latest terms before you buy.
Also, Bloomy eSIM is a data-only service: it does not include a phone number, SMS, or voice calls. If you need a phone number, SMS verification, or voice calls, please also look into other options such as a local SIM or a service that comes with a number. App-based calls through services like WhatsApp can often be used wherever you have a working data connection.
What's coming next
We'll keep refining My Account. We'll gradually improve how status is presented, how clear the messages are, and how smoothly you reach the next action — guided by how people actually use it. Specifications may change, so please refer to the latest screen.
