Every article now opens with a "What you'll learn" summary and a table of contents, so you can jump straight to the information you need. We've refreshed the overall design of the Bloomy eSIM blog to make it easier to read on your phone and easier to follow the key points. We're rolling these updates out to already-published articles as well.
What we changed
- Added a "What you'll learn" box at the top of each article, so you can see the main points up front
- Automatically generated a table of contents from the headings (a sticky sidebar on desktop, a collapsible menu on mobile)
- Switched the related articles at the bottom from ad-like cards to a simple list that blends into the content
- Refined the spacing and colors of headings, body text, tables, and FAQs to put readability first
Details that used to vary slightly from one article to the next now follow a single, consistent design. We've gone through the small touches one by one.
Why we made these changes
As our guides and country- and region-specific articles grew, it became harder to see at a glance "so what exactly should I do?" Setting up connectivity for a trip abroad can feel daunting, especially the first time. When the conclusion and the big picture are clear from the start, you can read just the parts you need and move on to your next step with confidence. So we've made the same flow consistent across every article: key points first, the full picture in the table of contents, and deeper detail through related articles.
How this helps you
As soon as you open an article, you can see what it covers and what the takeaway is. Even in a long piece, you can jump from the table of contents to the heading you want, and on mobile the collapsible menu keeps it from taking over your screen. When you're done reading, you can move naturally on to related topics. The goal is to make the "research → choose → set up" journey easier to follow.
Tips for using our articles to find the right eSIM for you
To get the most out of the refreshed articles, here are the basics of choosing an eSIM. Checking these three things makes the decision much simpler:
- Destination (country/region): whether the country or region is supported
- Data amount: less is usually fine for maps and social media, more for video or work
- Length of use: match it to your stay, whether it's a short trip, a business trip, or studying abroad
One more thing first-time users often misunderstand is calling. Bloomy eSIM is generally data-only, so you can't make or receive phone calls (voice calls) or send SMS using a phone number. That said, app-based calls that run over data — such as WhatsApp, Messenger, and FaceTime — work as usual. The only things you can't use are voice calls and SMS over a phone number; calling and messaging through apps works just as before. If you need SMS verification tied to a phone number, please also look into an alternative option alongside your eSIM.
If you're unsure about the data amount or number of days, use each article's key points and table of contents to find a case close to your destination and how you'll use it. Pricing and supported countries can change, so please check the latest details at the time of purchase.
The Bloomy touches we cared about
We aimed for a clean, white-based palette and comfortable spacing that's easy on the eyes. We kept decoration to a minimum so the body text and related links connect naturally. Not turning related articles into flashy cards or oversized buttons is also intentional — it helps you keep reading at a calm pace. We've prioritized "easy to navigate" and "comfortable to read" over visual flair.
What's next
We'll keep making small refinements to the design. Whenever we notice something that could be clearer or easier to read, we'll continue to improve it step by step.
