Weve completely redesigned our comparison page around "compare and buy"

With this redesign, it's easier to move from "comparing" to "choosing and buying" — so you can find the plan that fits you in fewer steps. Switching between data-capped and unlimited plans, clearer section grouping, and a purchase-friendly card layout all help first-time visitors reach the right plan more easily.

What's new in this update

We've fully redesigned the comparison page (/esim_comparison/) with a stronger focus on "compare and buy." Here are the main changes.

  • Grouped into clear sections: Single-country plans, wide-area regional plans, and plans covering selected regions are no longer mixed together — they're listed by type. Because plans with different characteristics no longer share the same row, they're easier to compare side by side.
  • Data-capped / unlimited toggle: Switch between data-capped plans (choose the GB you need) and unlimited plans (choose by number of days) with a single tap.
  • Cards that make choosing simple: Each card centers on one representative plan with data-size chips, so you can get a sense of what's included and the approximate price at a glance.
  • Left-side filters: Narrow results by country, plan type, and perks. Change the conditions and the list updates, helping you shortlist candidates.

The goal is to shift from "a list for comparing" to "a list for choosing and buying" — making the path to purchase shorter and clearer.

Why we made these changes

Choosing an eSIM involves several variables: your destination, how much data you need, how many days you'll use it, and whether you want unlimited. The old list tended to put everything on a flat, side-by-side view, which sometimes made it hard to judge "which one is actually right for me."
So we grouped plans with similar characteristics together and added toggles and filters, so you can narrow things down naturally — designed to help even first-time visitors avoid getting stuck partway through. What Bloomy cares about isn't just being affordable to use, but letting you choose without lingering doubts. This update brings that thinking into how the list itself is presented.

Tips: choosing an eSIM by destination, data, and days

To help you get the most out of the redesigned comparison page, here's a quick rundown of the basics of choosing an eSIM. The new sections and toggles are built around exactly these "axes" for narrowing down your options.

1. Start with your destination (country or region)

Even within "Asia" or "Europe," the right plan changes depending on whether you're staying in a single country or traveling across several. For one country, a single-country plan is a good fit; for multiple countries, a wide-area or selected-region plan becomes a candidate. We've split the comparison page into sections precisely so these different cases don't get mixed up.

2. Estimate how many days you'll use it

Choosing too few days for the length of your stay can leave you short, while choosing too many can end up costing more than you need. Using your arrival date through your departure date as a guide — with a little buffer — gives you peace of mind.

3. Choose between a data cap and unlimited

If you'll mainly use maps, translation, messaging, and quick searches, a data-capped plan is often enough. If you stream a lot of video, tether often, or simply don't want to think about data, an unlimited plan is worth considering. The toggle on the comparison page lets you switch between these two types and compare them.

Choosing between data-capped and unlimited plans

Which one is the "better value" depends on how you use it. Use the table below as a guide (actual prices and conditions vary by plan and over time, so please check the latest details shown at the time of purchase).

TypeBest suited forWhat to check when choosing
Data-capped planMostly messaging, maps, and searches / short trips / using only as much as you needEstimate the GB you need from a daily guideline and the number of days
Unlimited planLots of video, calling apps, and tethering / not wanting to worry about dataCheck speed management, the fair use policy, and whether tethering is allowed in advance

Note that an unlimited plan does not mean "always full speed no matter how much you use." Speeds may be adjusted after a certain amount of usage, a fair use policy may apply, and whether tethering is available — along with actual speeds — can vary depending on the local network, the area, and congestion. Checking each plan's conditions before purchase will give you peace of mind.

If you run low on data: top-ups and new purchases

If you run low on data during your stay, you have two directions: a "top-up" that adds data to your current plan, or a "new purchase" of a separate plan. If you only have a short time left and you're just a little short, a top-up is often the easy choice; if you still have many days remaining, a new purchase can open up more options. At Bloomy, we're continuing to improve top-ups and post-purchase support, and we'll keep refining the experience step by step. The best way to stay worry-free is simply to choose a data amount and number of days with some room to spare before you run short.

The details we cared about, the Bloomy way

We kept the cards from being overloaded with information, prioritizing an "understand it at a glance" feel with a representative plan plus data-size chips. We aimed for soft colors and spacing and a clean look. We also kept the filters and toggles to simple choices, so first-time visitors are less likely to get confused.
Also, Bloomy plans are data-only by design: they don't include a phone number, SMS verification, or voice calls. If you need any of those, please look into other options as well. App-based calls through services like WhatsApp and similar apps may work wherever a data connection is available.

What's coming next

We'll keep refining the ease of comparing, the clarity of filtering, and the post-purchase experience little by little. We plan to start with the points where readers tend to get stuck and continue improving from there.
