With this update, you can now set your destination, data amount, and number of days all in one place directly from your phone—making it faster to narrow down the eSIM plan that fits your trip. Until now, the side filter was designed mainly for larger desktop screens and could feel cramped on a phone. We've added a dedicated mobile search sheet so you can adjust your conditions and compare plans comfortably, even one-handed.
What's new in this update
- Added a dedicated mobile search sheet so you can change your destination and conditions together in one view.
- Built a UI optimized for mobile, separate from the desktop side filter.
- Tailored the way you interact with the page to each screen—desktop and mobile.
Even when the goal is the same—"change the conditions and compare"—the most comfortable layout depends on your screen size. On desktop, keeping a filter visible alongside the list works well. On a phone, a sheet you can pull up from the bottom when you need it keeps everything within easy reach of your thumb.
Why we made this change
Many people browse for an eSIM plan on their phone before they leave, and plenty check destination plans on the go or while out and about. With that in mind, simply shrinking the desktop filter to fit a smaller screen made the options hard to read and sometimes hid the plan list mid-search, making it harder to focus on comparing.
So rather than forcing the same controls onto both screens, we designed each one to feel intuitive on its own. On mobile, the search sheet groups your inputs together and lets you see the updated results in the list right away.
How this helps you
For example, conditions like "staying in Canada for about 30 days, and a mid-range data amount is fine" are now easy to set from your phone. In a few spare minutes before departure, you can switch destinations and fine-tune the data amount or number of days to find a plan that's close to what you need.
Guide: How to choose an eSIM by destination, data, and days
When narrowing things down in the search sheet, the two settings people hesitate over most are "data amount" and "number of days." Since the experience is smoother now, here are the basics of choosing well.
1. Match the number of days to your trip
Most eSIM plans run for a set number of days once activated. For a short trip, a few days to a week is common; for studying abroad or a longer stay, around 30 days often fits. Choosing a length close to your actual stay helps avoid waste. Too few days may mean extending or buying again on the spot, while too many may go unused.
2. Pick your data amount based on how you'll use it
If you mostly use maps and messaging, a smaller amount usually goes a long way. If you stream video, make video calls, or upload photos often, a larger amount gives you more peace of mind. When it's hard to predict, an unlimited plan can be one option for heavy daily users. Keep in mind that unlimited plans may still be subject to a fair usage policy or reduced speeds after a certain amount of use, and tethering support varies by plan. Please confirm the current details before you buy.
3. Set the right destination (country or region)
Even for the same country, there are single-country plans and plans that cover multiple countries or regions together. If you're traveling through several countries, check that all your destinations are included. Try switching destinations in the search sheet to compare coverage.
Guide: What to do if you run low on data
A common worry tied to choosing conditions is "what if I run out of data while I'm there?" The simplest approach is to choose a data amount and number of days with some room to spare from the start. If you expect to stream a lot or use tethering, planning for a little extra makes it less stressful on the road. Note that Bloomy eSIM is a data-only service: there's no phone number, SMS verification, or voice calling. If you need any of those, please look into a separate option as well. App-based calls such as WhatsApp may work wherever you have a working data connection.
The Bloomy touch
For the search sheet, we focused on keeping things simple so that even first-time eSIM users won't feel lost—grouping the settings clearly and reflecting any change in the list right away. With a gentle, calm look, we hope your pre-trip prep feels just a little lighter.
What's next
We'll keep refining how clear and easy the page is to use. We plan to gradually explore ways to make comparing plans on mobile feel even more straightforward.
