We Refreshed the Sites Display and Navigation | Full Multilingual Display and Easier Access to the Pages You Need

With this update, when you open the site in a language other than Japanese—such as English—the entire page now appears in the language you selected. We've also made it easier to reach key pages like "Compare eSIMs," "First-Time eSIM Guide," and "FAQ" from the footer, with less guesswork than before. The goal of these adjustments is to help everyone, including travelers browsing from abroad, find the information they need more easily.

What's New in This Update

We focused on three main areas.

  • Improved multilingual display: When you open the site in a language other than Japanese, some elements used to remain in Japanese. We've cleaned this up so everything now appears consistently in your chosen language.
  • Clearer paths to articles and support: We revised the wording and order of the footer links so you can reach pages like "Compare eSIMs," "First-Time eSIM Guide," "How to Use Your eSIM," "Troubleshooting Connection Issues," "FAQ," and "Contact Us" through labels that clearly convey what each page is for.
  • Small display refinements: We trimmed some extra spacing that appeared near the bottom of pages, making the screen easier to read.

Why We Made These Changes

Bloomy is built for people using an eSIM for the first time—whether for travel, study abroad, or a long stay overseas. If the display isn't consistent when you open the site, or if the page you need is hard to find, even small frictions like these can create a bit of unease. We carried out this review because we want to get the basics right, one step at a time: being able to go straight to the page you want to read, and being able to read it in your own language.

How This Helps You

This update makes moments like these a little easier.

  • When you want to read in a language other than Japanese, the whole page now displays consistently in your chosen language.
  • When you're looking for a plan for your destination, you can jump straight to the eSIM comparison page from the footer.
  • If you're new to eSIMs, it's easier to reach the eSIM Guide covering the basics, or the FAQ when you want to look something up.
  • You can more easily check whether your device supports eSIM on the compatible devices page.

The Bloomy Touch

Rather than a flashy redesign, we focused on patiently refining the details—wording, ordering, and spacing. For the link labels, we steered away from internal-sounding terms like "Compare" or "Articles" and chose clearer phrasing such as "Compare eSIMs" and "First-Time eSIM Guide" so you can tell at a glance what each page offers. Our approach is to keep building a gentle, easy-to-navigate experience, little by little.

Column: Preparing Your Connectivity and Communication When You're Unsure About the Local Language

While we were improving the multilingual display, we thought we'd share a few tips on getting ready if you're worried about the language barrier abroad. In an unfamiliar place, translation and map apps can become a real "language lifeline"—but most of them work best when you have a working data connection. Here are a few things you can prepare before you leave:

  • Install a translation app and download the offline language data in advance so you can use it without a connection.
  • Save the areas you plan to visit in your map app for offline use.
  • For staying in touch with family or travel companions, plan to use app-based calling through services like WhatsApp (these may work where a data connection is available).
  • Arrange a way to stay connected on the ground, such as a data eSIM.

One thing we want to be upfront about: Bloomy's data eSIM is for data only—it doesn't include a phone number, SMS, or voice calls. If you need SMS verification codes sent to a phone number for banking or other services, it's wise to also keep another option ready, such as your existing phone-number line. Cover the language gap with apps, and set up the data connection that everything else relies on ahead of time—this two-part preparation is the trick to staying calm and getting around, even on your first trip abroad.

What's Next

We'll keep refining the display and navigation based on feedback from the people who use Bloomy. We plan to keep improving readability and ease of access, step by step.
