Bloomy eSIM ("the Site") believes that everyone stepping abroad — regardless of age, familiarity with technology, or disability — should be able to find information and complete tasks on their own. Accessibility sits at the heart of the "simple and reassuring" experience we aim for.
1. Target conformance level
The Site aims to conform to Level AA of JIS X 8341-3:2016 (the Japanese Industrial Standard for web content accessibility), which corresponds to Level AA of the international standard WCAG 2.1.
2. Scope
Key pages under the bloomyesim.com domain (home, plan comparison, setup guide, FAQ, contact, Bloomy VPN, Unlimited Max, and more).
3. Current status
The Site implements the following accessibility measures:
- All key actions (browsing, filtering, viewing plan details, and the path to purchase) can be completed with the keyboard alone.
- For screen readers, we provide page landmarks, a logical heading structure, alternative text for images, and live-region announcements (aria-live) for dynamically updated content.
- A visible focus indicator shows which element is currently active.
- Sufficient colour contrast between text and background.
- Respect for device settings such as "reduce motion" (prefers-reduced-motion).
- In modal dialogs, focus moves into the dialog on open and returns to the trigger on close.
How we test
We run automated accessibility checks (axe-core / WCAG 2.1 Level A & AA) on key pages in a real browser every day, and maintain a state free of automatically detectable failures (last verified: 23 July 2026). If a failure is introduced, the operator is notified so it can be fixed promptly.
We are also carrying out manual verification with real assistive technologies (VoiceOver, NVDA, TalkBack, etc.). Until the checks that automated testing cannot cover are complete, we refrain from a formal claim of "conformance" and instead report our factual current status here.
4. Exceptions and known limitations
- Areas we do not fully control — such as the payment screen (Stripe), maps, video, and embedded third-party services — may fall outside the scope of this statement.
- Non-Japanese pages are reference translations. If there is any discrepancy, the Japanese version prevails.
5. Feedback and contact
If you notice anything or have difficulty using the Site, please let us know via our contact page. Your feedback helps us improve.
