The New Bloomy Map: A Travel Record That "Blooms" the More You Explore

We've completely redesigned the Bloomy Map in your account area to make looking back on your travels even more enjoyable. The biggest change: countries where you've used an eSIM now "bloom" — shifting from a soft light blue through periwinkle and lavender to pink the more you use them. Tap any country to see how many times you've used it there, the badges you've earned, and a quick path to finding your next plan. There's nothing to set up — just open your account page to see the new map.

In this article
  • Country colors deepen from light blue to pink the more you use them
  • Tap a country to see usage counts, badges, and plan shortcuts
  • Countries you've gifted appear in a separate mint tone
  • No setup needed — everything is on your account page
  • All details are shown in numbers and text, not just color

What's New in This Update

This redesign isn't just a fresh coat of paint — the goal was to make it clear where to look and what each part of your travel record means. Here are the five main changes:

  • A new color system: Colors deepen step by step with your usage — soft light blue → periwinkle → lavender → pink. Use the same country 10 times and it earns a special look with a yellow flower-petal border
  • A richer summary: Clean white cards show your key stats at a glance — countries visited, top-up count, your favorite country (the one you've used most), and the countries and number of times you've sent gifts
  • Country detail cards: Tap a country on the map (or its country tag) to open a card showing your usage count, last use, badges, and how many more uses until your next badge. You can browse plans for that country right from the card
  • Gift history: Countries where you've gifted an eSIM appear in mint, deepening as you gift more. It's a separate tone from the countries you've used yourself, so the two never blend together
  • Gift achievements: Small achievements like "First Gift" have been added. As a thank-you for your first gift, we'll also send you a 10% off coupon (see announcements for details)

Quick Color Reference

Every color on the map has exactly one meaning. If you're ever unsure, come back to this table.

What the Summary Cards Show

The white summary cards at the top of the map give you the full picture of your travel record in one place.

Top-up countHow many times you've added data

How to View Your Bloomy Map

Getting to the new map takes just a few taps — no configuration required.

  1. Log in to your account page
  2. Open the "Map" tab
  3. Tap any country or country tag you're curious about

Tapping opens a detail card for that country, showing your usage count, last use, badges, and how many more uses until your next badge — all in plain numbers and text. From the card, you can browse plans for that country right away, making it a handy starting point when you're planning your next trip there.

Why We Made These Changes

The previous map used a wide range of colors, and it wasn't always intuitive which color meant what. Even with a rich travel history, a screen that takes effort to decode loses half the fun of looking at it. This time we followed two principles: every color gets exactly one meaning, and the countries you've traveled to are the star of the show — so your record visibly grows the more you explore.

There's another reason behind the redesign: we want your account page to be somewhere you enjoy returning to, not just a place you visit once after purchase. Once an eSIM is bought and set up, there's often little reason to come back. But if there's a place where you can watch your travel record slowly bloom with color, we hope it becomes a natural stop when you start planning your next adventure.

What This Means for You

  • A glance at the colors tells you which countries you use most and where you've sent gifts
  • Tapping a country instantly shows your progress toward the next badge and a shortcut to that country's plans
  • Watching your travel record grow adds a little extra motivation for planning your next trip

If you travel to the same country repeatedly — for study abroad, work assignments, or regular business trips — the deepening colors and badges become a visual record of your journeys. And if you gift eSIMs to family or friends, the mint-colored countries build a parallel record of the trips you've helped make happen.

Your Travel Record Can Guide Your Next Plan Choice

Each country's detail card shows your usage count and last use there. That history makes it easy to choose smarter next time: "I visit this country a lot — maybe I'll go for a bigger data plan," or "I barely made it through my last trip — let's add some buffer this time." You can browse plans for a specific country straight from the detail card, or use the eSIM comparison page to filter plans by destination, data amount, and trip length.

Good to know

Available plans, prices, and terms vary by country and region, so please check the comparison page for the latest details at the time of purchase. Bloomy eSIMs are data-only (no phone number, SMS, or voice calls), plans are subject to fair use policies, and connection quality depends on the local network, your device, and your location.

The Bloomy Touches We Sweated Over

We kept card backgrounds white, using color only for borders and icon accents. The idea is to avoid visual noise so your travel record itself stays the star. The flower mark on countries you've used 10 times also comes with a subtle blooming animation (it won't play if your device has reduced motion enabled).

We were also careful not to let color carry all the information. The color gradients are there for the joy of it — your exact usage counts and badges are always available in numbers and text when you tap a country. Because people perceive color differently, we made sure the map never becomes a screen you can't use without reading color. The map is a place to enjoy your record, and the facts are always one tap away in plain text. Balancing those two things was the part we tuned most carefully.

What's Coming Next

We plan to gradually grow the achievement types and map visuals based on how you actually use them, and we'll keep refining clarity based on your feedback. We can't promise features that aren't finalized yet, but we'll keep steadily improving so the map feels a little better every time you open it.
