Meet Bloomy, Our AI Support Assistant — From Plan Suggestions to Checking Your Data Balance

Got an eSIM question? Just tap the button in the bottom-right corner and ask away. Our AI support assistant, Bloomy, is now available on every page of the site, 24/7 and in 7 languages. Tell it where you're going and for how long, and it will suggest plans that fit right there in the chat. If you're logged in, you can even check your remaining data and expiration date for any eSIM you've purchased. In this article, we'll walk through what Bloomy can do, what we focused on while building it, and when to reach out to our human support team instead.

What you'll learn in this article
  • Get help anytime via the button in the bottom-right corner
  • Share your destination and trip length to receive plan suggestions
  • Check your data balance and expiration date while logged in
  • Suggestions are based on plans actually on sale
  • Anything the chat can't resolve goes to our human support team

What's new in this update

This update adds four things:

  • Our AI support assistant, Bloomy, is now available on every page of the site (24/7, in 7 languages)
  • Bloomy can suggest plans in a card format based on your destination, trip length, and how you use data
  • If you're logged in, you can check your data balance, expiration date, and eSIM activation status right in the chat
  • Anything the chat can't resolve can be sent to our human support team via the contact form (we aim to reply within 24 hours)

The button appears in the bottom-right corner on every page, so you can do things like ask how much data you'll need while browsing the plan list, or ask about just the step you're stuck on while reading the setup guide. There's no sign-up or extra setup — just tap the button and start chatting.

Why we built an AI support assistant

Choosing an eSIM involves more decisions than you might expect: destination, trip length, data allowance, device compatibility, and price. It's easy to feel unsure, especially the first time. Unlike a physical SIM you might buy at a shop with staff to guide you, everything from purchase to setup happens online with an eSIM. That convenience comes with a downside: the moment you wonder "am I doing this right?", there's no one nearby to ask.

On top of that, international travel means time zones — and the moment you need help often doesn't line up with support hours. Whether it's late at night before your flight or right after you land, having somewhere to ask on the spot makes a real difference. That's where this project started.

What Bloomy can do (by situation)

Before your trip: help choosing a plan

Say it's the night before you leave and you ask, "I'm going to South Korea for 5 days — which plan should I get?" Bloomy will show matching plan options as cards right in the chat, and you can go straight to the details page from there. Mention how you use data — "I watch a lot of video" or "mostly maps and WhatsApp" — and the suggestions will take that into account. Prefer to compare things yourself? You can browse by country, data allowance, and trip length on the eSIM comparison page. Note that available plans and prices can change over time, so please check the latest details on each plan page before you buy.

At your destination: troubleshooting a connection

If you can't get connected after arriving, Bloomy can walk you through the checks one step at a time, tailored to your device and situation. Reading through a long manual is tough when you're stressed — with chat, you can just say how far you've gotten and keep going from there. The basics are also covered in our setup guide, and situation-specific checks are in the troubleshooting guide, so you can refer to both as needed.

During your stay: checking your data balance and expiration date

While logged in, just ask "How much data do I have left?" to see your remaining data, expiration date, and eSIM activation status. Knowing at a glance how much you have left makes it much easier to decide whether to add more. And of course, the same information is still available in My Account, just like before.

What we focused on — the Bloomy way

Our top priority was accuracy. Plan suggestions don't come from the AI improvising: our system selects matching options from plans that are actually on sale, and the AI's job is simply to explain them clearly.

Key point

Because the AI never invents prices or availability, what the chat tells you stays in sync with the actual plan details. It's designed to minimize "that's not what the chat said" moments, even with AI support.

Important processes like refunds and cancellations are also never handled by the AI — a human staff member reviews and processes them. And when Bloomy can't answer a question, it won't guess; it will honestly point you to our human support team. Rather than trying to make the AI handle everything, we prioritized letting the AI and our human team each do what they do best.

We review conversation quality daily, and whenever we find a confusing answer or an inaccurate phrase, we improve it. Bloomy is powered by Claude, a state-of-the-art AI model.

When to use Bloomy vs. human support

So you never have to wonder "is this something I can ask the AI?", here's a quick guide:

What you need help withBest place to ask
Choosing a plan, estimating data or trip lengthBloomy (suggests options right in the chat)
Setup steps, connection troubleshootingBloomy + setup guide
Data balance, expiration date, activation statusBloomy (while logged in) / My Account

Feel free to start with Bloomy for anything — and if it can't solve your issue, it will hand you off to a human from there.

Running low on data? Top-ups vs. buying a new plan

This comes up a lot in chat, so here's a quick breakdown. If you're about to run out of data during a trip, you have two main options:

Top-up (add data)Buy a new plan
Best forRunning low while staying in the same countryHeading to a different country next / switching plan types
Setup required? No (data is added to your current eSIM)Yes (new eSIM setup needed)
Where to do itFrom the eSIM in My AccountChoose from the comparison page
  • Top-up (adding data) — Adds data directly to the eSIM you're already using. No reinstalling, no new setup. If you're running low while staying in the same country, this is usually the easier option (the number of top-ups and conditions vary by plan, so check the details in My Account).
  • Buying a new plan — If your next destination is a different country, or you want to switch plan types — say, from a daily plan to an unlimited-style plan (which is subject to a fair use policy) — buying a new eSIM is the better fit.

A simple rule of thumb: running low mid-trip → top up; changing destination or plan type → buy new. You can also set up automatic top-ups in My Account, so data is added when your balance runs low. And if you're not sure which option fits, that's exactly the kind of thing to ask Bloomy.

What's next

We'll keep improving conversation clarity and expanding what post-purchase support can do, step by step. Confirmed changes will be announced in our updates and on the changelog.
