We Added Automatic Monitoring for eSIM Delivery

Last updated: August 16, 2026

If your eSIM delivery ever stalls after purchase, our system now notices on its own and retries the process. This update moves us closer to catching problems ourselves, before you have to write in and tell us.

What Changed

Until now, the delivery process ran immediately after purchase. In rare cases, that approach had a weak spot: if the scheduled job itself was lost, the order could stall with nobody noticing. That did happen, and in a few cases it meant a delay before the eSIM reached the customer.

So we added a check that doesn't depend on that scheduled job. Instead, we now look at the state of the order itself — payment completed, but no eSIM issued yet — on a regular basis, and automatically re-run delivery for anything that matches. On top of that, if delivery hasn't completed within a set window after purchase, our team is notified right away. Even when the automatic retry can't resolve it, a person sees it and steps in.

Why We Made This Change

A lot of people buy their eSIM right before they leave — in the airport lounge, at the gate, minutes before boarding. In that moment, "I paid but nothing arrived" isn't just a bug. It's a problem that lands squarely in the middle of your travel day.

Ideally, nothing stalls in the first place. But networks and background processing are always at the mercy of conditions we don't fully control. That's exactly why we felt it mattered to build a separate layer that notices when something has stalled. The result is a two-part approach: prevent it where we can, and catch it when we can't.

What This Means for You

  • It's now much less likely that delivery sits stuck without anything happening
  • When the automatic retry doesn't fix it, our team finds out early
  • Buying just before departure should feel less nerve-wracking than it did before

For a normal purchase, of course, nothing changes: your eSIM details still arrive within a few minutes. This new system is a safety net for the times things don't go smoothly.

Also Worth Knowing: What to Check If Nothing Seems to Arrive

The following comes straight out of real customer questions we've worked through. Knowing what you can check yourself takes a lot of the anxiety out of waiting.

1. Start with your order confirmation page

Your eSIM installation link and activation details are always available from the order confirmation page you saw at checkout, even if you can't find the email. You can also review your purchase from My Account. No email doesn't mean no eSIM.

2. Emails land in spam more often than you'd think

Messages with letters and numbers in the subject line often get filed into spam or promotions. Search across all your folders — not just the inbox — for something short like "Bloomy" or "eSIM."

3. If the install link won't open, you can add the eSIM manually

The usual Bloomy flow is simple: tap the installation link once, follow the on-screen prompts to add the eSIM, then switch the line on when you arrive. If the link doesn't open properly, you can enter the SM-DP+ address and activation code by hand instead and get the same result. You'll need a Wi-Fi or other internet connection to add the eSIM. Full steps are on our setup guide, and fixes for common snags are on the troubleshooting page.

4. If nothing changes for 30 minutes, don't keep waiting — contact us

If your order stays on "processing" for more than 30 minutes, get in touch with your order number, the email address you used at checkout, your destination, and your device model. Those four details let us check things much faster. If your departure is close, tell us that too.

What We Were Careful About

Our top priority with this system was making sure it never issues a second eSIM for an order that already has one. A retry mechanism built carelessly can end up running the same process twice. We defined the target conditions narrowly and verified in advance that no existing orders would be picked up by mistake before switching it on.

We also designed the alerts around reliability rather than volume: the goal is that the right notification arrives when it genuinely matters. Too many alerts, and the one that actually counts gets buried.

What's Next

We'll keep refining the interface so the status of your order after purchase is clearer on your end. We're also working through improvements to how inquiries are handled internally, so our first response comes faster. As decisions are made, we'll share them in Changelog and Updates.
