We've fixed a bug in our multilingual display so that visitors browsing in languages other than Japanese (English, Chinese, Korean, and Spanish) can once again use plan search and plan details just as smoothly as before. Switching languages no longer interrupts what you're doing—you can compare and review plans the same way in any language.
What's in This Update
We fixed a bug where some features stopped working when a page was opened through a language-specific URL (for example, /en/ or /zh-cn/).
- Fixed an issue where plan search and the plan details modal (the detail view that appears when you open a card) became unresponsive on language-specific URLs.
- Reworked how the system identifies each page type so it no longer depends on the language prefix, making this kind of issue much less likely to come back.
As a result, users in every supported language can now follow the same basic flow—search, compare, and review details—without interruption.
Why We Made This Change
Bloomy eSIM is available in English, Chinese, Korean, and Spanish, in addition to Japanese. For languages other than Japanese, the URL begins with a language marker such as /en/.
This bug occurred because the internal logic that identifies page types didn't fully account for that language marker. Pages worked correctly without a prefix, but on URLs that carried a language marker, the system failed to recognize the comparison page, so search and modal functions never started. For travelers using a non-default display language abroad, this was a real obstacle right at the first comparison step—too important to leave unaddressed. So we rebuilt the logic to work the same way regardless of whether a language marker is present.
What This Means for You
For example, if you share an English-language page with family or friends abroad, search and plan details now work properly on their screens too. Whether you're studying overseas and prefer the English display, or traveling and using your own language, you no longer have to worry about features breaking just because you switched languages.
A small frustration like "the buttons suddenly stopped responding when I changed languages" can feel like a big worry when you're using mobile data abroad for the first time. This fix is all about removing those snags.
