Your order history in My Account now shows both your eSIM and VPN orders in one place. Along with this change, we've refined the confirmation email for VPN purchases, improved how tabs are displayed, and streamlined the guidance for unused eSIMs. The goal: a My Account page where you can see your status at a glance and move straight to your next step. There's nothing you need to do — just open My Account as usual and the new experience is already there.
What's in This Update
Rather than adding new features, this update smooths out the small friction points you might hit when checking on a purchase. Here are the four changes:
- VPN orders now appear in your order history: Previously, order history only showed eSIM purchases. Now your Bloomy VPN orders appear in the same list, so everything you've bought lives in one place — no more wondering where to find your VPN order.
- Better confirmation emails for VPN purchases: The confirmation email for VPN purchases used to be worded for eSIMs. It now matches what you actually bought, so the moment you open it, it's clearly about your order.
- Tabs now hint that there's more to scroll: When the tabs in My Account don't fit your screen, the edge now fades out softly — an intuitive cue that you can scroll sideways. Finding the right tab on a small phone screen is now much easier.
- Unused eSIM guidance trimmed to one line: We consolidated duplicate instructions into a single line: "Takes about 2 minutes. Set it up while you have Wi-Fi, and you'll be connected the moment you arrive." Less to read, and a faster path to the setup button.
Here's a summary of the changes:
| What we improved | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Order history | Showed eSIM orders only | VPN orders appear in the same list |
| VPN confirmation email | Used eSIM-oriented wording | Matches your actual purchase |
| My Account tabs | Hard to tell there were more tabs | Faded edge signals you can scroll |
| Unused eSIM guidance | Same instructions repeated in two places | One concise line, straight to the setup button |
Why We Made These Changes
When you open My Account right after a purchase, you're usually asking two things: "Did my order go through?" and "What do I do next?" If an order you just placed doesn't show up in the list, or the email you received doesn't match what you bought, even a perfectly successful transaction can feel uncertain.
Long explanations and repeated instructions also push the all-important "Set up" button further out of view. So instead of adding features, we focused on reducing duplication and ambiguity to shorten the distance between checking your order and taking the next step. These are quiet changes, but they're the kind that directly shape how confident you feel right after a purchase.
What This Means for You
If you use both an eSIM and a VPN, you can now confirm everything in one place. Before a trip, when you're wondering "I bought the eSIM, but did I get the VPN too?", one look at your order history answers both questions.
If you're setting up an eSIM for the first time, opening your unused eSIM now tells you right away that setup takes about 2 minutes and is best done while you're on Wi-Fi — so you can proceed without second-guessing. And with the scrollable tabs now easier to spot on mobile, those small "where's the screen I'm looking for?" moments should happen less often.
Set Up Your eSIM Before You Depart
A quick note on the "set it up before you go" advice. For most eSIMs, the smoothest approach is to install the eSIM on your device right after purchase, then switch the line on once you arrive at your destination. It's a three-step flow: tap the setup link we send you → follow the on-screen prompts to add the eSIM → turn the line on after you land.
The reason we recommend doing this before departure is that installing an eSIM requires an internet connection. If you finish the installation at home or anywhere with Wi-Fi, all that's left when you land is flipping the line on. Start the setup after you arrive, and you'll be hunting for airport Wi-Fi while juggling immigration lines and luggage. Our eSIM setup guide walks you through each step with screenshots, and if anything doesn't connect, we have a troubleshooting guide ready as well.
When your plan's usage period starts can vary by plan. Please check the details shown at purchase and in My Account. Also note that Bloomy eSIMs are data-only — they don't include a phone number, SMS, or voice calling — and actual speeds depend on the local network, your device, and your location. Plans are subject to a fair-use policy.

When Travelers Pair a VPN with an eSIM
Since VPN orders now sit alongside eSIMs in your order history, here's a quick word on when the two come up together for travel or study abroad. A VPN encrypts and relays your traffic, and it's commonly used to protect your connection on shared Wi-Fi at hotels, airports, and cafés. Some travelers use their eSIM for mobile data on the go, then switch on the VPN whenever they connect to shared Wi-Fi.
Keep in mind that VPN features and availability differ by service and plan, and how you can use one may depend on the laws and conditions of your destination. Always check the latest guidance from your VPN provider before you travel.
The Bloomy Approach
The theme of this update was clarity through subtraction — removing words rather than adding them. Key information now lives briefly inside the relevant card, and duplicate instructions were cut without hesitation. The cleaner the screen, the easier it is to see what actually matters and what to do next.
Even small touches like the tab fade are designed so that hesitation quietly disappears without you noticing why. My Account isn't a page for reading — it's a page for checking and moving on. That's why we spent our care on making it require less reading, not more.
What's Next
My Account is the page you'll use most after a purchase, so we'll keep refining how clearly it presents your information. We can't promise specific changes or timelines, but our approach stays the same: keep removing small friction points, one at a time. If something bugs you, we'd love to hear about it via our contact page.
