When you view our Japanese pages through translation, prices such as "470 yen" now display correctly as written. That makes amounts far less likely to be misread, so you can share a page with family or friends abroad with confidence.
What We Changed
When a browser's automatic translation converted our Japanese pages into English, the single character used for the currency was sometimes replaced with an unrelated word. That character can also mean "circle" or "round shape," so the translation engine couldn't always tell it was a currency unit — leaving an unfamiliar word sitting next to the amount.
So we excluded the currency unit alone from automatic translation. Now, even with translation turned on, "470 yen" stays "470 yen." The figures themselves and wording such as "7 days" are still translated as before, so nothing becomes harder to read. The fix applies everywhere a price appears — the comparison page, plan details, and the confirmation screen before payment.
Why We Fixed It
This started with a note from someone completing an order in English who told us the display "looked a little strange."
Price is the one piece of information you most want to check calmly before deciding to buy. When something meaningless appears alongside it, doubt creeps in: "Is this really the right amount?" The amounts themselves were never wrong, but we didn't think it was right to leave something confusing in place. It's a small detail, and we've chosen to prioritize being easy to read at a glance.
The Language Switcher Is the Most Reliable Way to Read in English or Chinese
Here's the practical advice for anyone who'd rather not read in Japanese. In short: changing the display language with the on-page language switcher gives you a more stable result than automatic translation.

We kept the "do not translate" scope as narrow as possible. Excluding the entire page from translation would certainly have prevented the currency mistranslation — but it would have made the page far less useful for anyone who doesn't read Japanese.
So we limited the exclusion to the currency unit in prices, and left explanatory text and day counts fully translatable. Keep what's readable readable; protect only what could cause a misunderstanding. It's an unglamorous kind of work, but reviewing details at this level is how we chip away at the small uncertainties a first-time customer feels.
