Added a Guide for Users Who Already Have Another eSIM Installed

Even if your phone already has other eSIMs installed, you can now see right after purchase which cellular line is Bloomy and what to turn off first. We added a “Guide for Users Who Already Have Another eSIM Installed” to the eSIM setup email, My Account, the Setup Guide, the Troubleshooting page, and the contact form (available in 7 languages, including Japanese).

What's New in This Update

The new guide covers three short points:

  • iPhones can use only two cellular lines at once, so turn off other eSIMs first
  • The Bloomy line may not show “Bloomy” as its name. Look for the line with an empty phone number field.
  • Don't delete any eSIM. Once deleted, it can't be reinstalled.

Where you'll see it:

  • eSIM setup email: three lines shown under your plan
  • My Account: the same content appears below your list of purchased eSIMs
  • Setup Guide and Troubleshooting page: placed right under the “Do not delete” warning, so you see it both before and after installing
  • Contact form: if you choose “Connection issues,” four steps appear before you submit. You can still submit after reading them.

Why We Made This Change

When multiple eSIMs are installed, your mobile data may stay on a different eSIM instead of Bloomy. That line sometimes appears under a different name in the cellular list, which makes it hard to find and can be stressful. We now point out these common pitfalls up front, right where they happen, so it's easier to know what to do after purchase.

What It Helps You Do

Know the steps right after purchase

Your email and My Account show the order to check: turn off the other lines, turn on the Bloomy line, then set mobile data to Bloomy. The Setup Guide also includes an iPhone cellular settings screenshot (phone numbers are blurred out).

Check how to rename a line

On iPhone, go to Settings → Cellular, select the line, and choose Custom Label. On Android, go to Network & internet (on Galaxy, SIM manager). Naming the line “Bloomy” makes it easier to tell apart next time.

Related Tips for Using Multiple eSIMs

Here are a few things worth knowing when you use more than one line.

“Data line” and “turned on” are different

Even when several lines are turned on, only one is chosen for mobile data. If you keep your home-country line while abroad, you can set Bloomy as your data line and keep your home-country line for receiving SMS.

Turning off and deleting are different

If you only turn a line off, you can turn it back on anytime in Settings. Deleting it means you can't reinstall it, so please don't delete a line just because it isn't connecting.

Bloomy is data-only

Bloomy eSIMs are data-only. App-based calls such as WhatsApp and FaceTime work as usual, but calls and SMS to and from a phone number are not available. If you need SMS verification, use your home-country line alongside Bloomy or another method.

What We Focused On

  • Calm wording: We used “Guide for Users Who Already Have Another eSIM Installed” instead of a message about things not working.
  • Shown only when needed: The contact form shows steps only when “Connection issues” is selected. Nothing appears for other topics.
  • Never blocks submission: If the steps don't solve the issue, you can still submit right away.

Coming Up

We haven't yet added screenshots of the Android cellular settings screen. We'll add them step by step as they become available. Since screens vary by device, we'll keep refining how clear this guidance is.
